Welcome to the actors packet and casebook of the Spring 2023 UWL Production of Secret in the Wings! Here will be the home for all things research and resources compiled by the shows two Dramaturgs: Anna Halvorsen and Louden Ferguson.
This website will be updated weekly to provide any new information that gets pulled during the rehearsal process and design meetings. But, if you have any specific questions that you'd like help with that aren't provided on this website, feel free to reach out to Anna or Louden for any questions that you have! We will pull as many resources as we can to hopefully find the answers that you need. We hope that this website provides you with a bountiful harvest of research and information!
Wait... What is Dramaturgy?
As Dramaturgs, our job is to help give you one of the most important things: CONTEXT!

We provide research, resources, and information to help actors, the director, and the designers. We also help provide context for our future audience.

We dig to find historical, cultural, and scientific context.
​
We provide notes on production history, playwright information, historiography, socio-cultural info, and any other background research to answer questions that you may have.
​
We help the actors understand the world of the play through the information we compile.
​
Essentially, we give you the starting line to help you run the marathon to get to the finish line!
